Tribiq CMS provides a number of methods for creating navigation for your site. Your site's navigation is what enables your visitors to find your content. It also promotes SEO by enabling search engine spiders to better explore your site. Site navigation is an essential part of almost any website with more than one page. Tribiq CMS supports three main methods of navigation which fall into two groups:
Managed:
Unmanaged:
With managed navigation, the CMS is aware of the Content Item which is linked to.
For example, if the Content Item which is linked to is Trashed, then all managed links to that Item will be automatically deleted.
With unmanaged navigation, if the Content Item linked to is Trashed, unmanaged links to that Item will become broken, leading to a "page not found" CMS page.
You should try to use managed navigation where possible.
Menus form the backbone of your site's navigation. They have a hierarchical structure.
For larger sites you might commonly use two menus: a main menu to enable you to navigate the upper levels of the hierarchy and a secondary menu to navigate the lower levels.
Banners enable you to quickly jump to a particular page in your site. An example of Banner use might be to link from your homepage to a promotional page.
Inline links and Banners linking to external sites are hyperlinks. Inline links within a content area can lead to internal or external pages. You define inline links using the "Link" button in your WYSIWYG editor.
Most websites have a mixture of Menu navigation, Banner and Inline Links.
