Creating Pictures

Overview

With Tribiq CMS you can create a library of Pictures.

When we refer to "Pictures", we mean special images which are more than just images which help your site look attractive. 

For a corporation, Pictures might be important resources, such as high quality files from which marketing collateral is derivided. For a photographer, Pictures would be valuable photographs or images which the photographer might want to make available for controlled download or sale from her website.

When a Picture is uploaded into Tribiq CMS, it has the same status as an regular Content Item. So like any HTML page, it can be version-controlled, given meta data, categorized, password-protected and so on.

Pictures can be displayed in a Picture Gallery via the Gallery Plugin, and can be displayed one to a page using the Content Type Picture Download Plugin.

How can I create a Picture?

1. Login as an Admin and go to the Storekeeper.

2. Go to "Content" on the left menu. Double click the Picture icon.

If your website has multiple languages installed, you will see your enabled Languages. Double-click the one you require.

You can choose to store your Pictures in the approriate Language (e.g. if your images contain words, or if you want to attach meta data). Otherwise just choose the main Language of your site.

3. In the Actions toolbar, click the "Create a Content Item" button.

4. Enter a Title for the Picture. Go to the File tab and click "Select File" button.

5. Click the "Upload one or Multiples files to the Dropbox" button on the Actions toolbar.

6. Click "Choose" button.

7. Click the "Save" button. The Picture is now created.

8. View your Picture(s) by clicking the "View Content" button on the toolbar.

The Picture will open in the parent window ready for you review and publish.
