Advanced Visitor Language Support (AVLS)
Advanced Visitor Language Support (AVLS) is our localization module, building upon the multilingual features of Tribiq CMS.
AVLS enables your Tribiq-powered website to rapidly become a globally accessible resource. AVLS is fast becoming a 'must have', proving to your customers and suppliers that you are a true international organization.
AVLS adds tools and functionality specifically aimed at the linguistic content of each and every page of your global site.
Content Equivalences
You can create a chain of pages across several languages, where the effective meaning is the same in all of them (e.g. en="Home Page", es="Pagina Principal", tr="Ana Sayfa" and so on), for any page of your site, making the content truely multi-lingual.
When a user is on any page which has an Equivalent he can select to switch to the equivalent page in another language. Not only is this benifical for visitors, but also administrators who can see a matrix of equivalent pages and check that the matrix is complete (i.e. all pages translated).
Visitor Language Packs
Apart from "real content", other things often need to be translated, such as "Page not found", "Please login here", or "Sitemap"; these phrases are contained in VLPs (Visitor Language Pack), one Pack per language. Tribiq CMS has an automatic patching system, which automatically updates the phrases and text used across a multi-lingual site. Currently Tribiq officially supports English, Spanish, Portuguese, and Turkish VLPs, with more on the way soon.
You also have an admin screen for VLPs, so that you can customise TRIBiQ's translations into ones that better suit your multi-lingual site's style.
Translators
Tribiq realise that creating the perfect multilingual website is not an easy task. We also realise that there is probably extra work involved - someone has to translate the content to the appropriate languages.
The AVLS Module includes built-in tools to help translators complete tasks faster. We have created a "Dual Edit" Authoring mode, which allows an administrator to compare and edit two content items side by side. Rather than working through several steps - downloading the content, putting it into a word processor, translating it, getting it out of the word processor into the website... - Tribiq CMS simplifies translation into the very few steps that your employees actually require.
In addition, a new Translator administrator type is created, which will enable access for Translators who are only able to edit equivalent pages, allowing further control over the localization of the site.
